Leading a team of 30+ Professional Civil , Design and Applications Engineers through the Entitlement, Design and Cost Estimating Processes associated with the Development of Solar and Energy Storage projects projects located throughout the Northeast and Midwest. My team utilizes lean tools and concepts to continually improve our permitting and design timelines as well as reduce our direct costs.

As Director of Engineering I’m responsible for leading the Design Engineer and drafting team with the mindset of excellence in engineering and to the goal of best in class execution in the development, design and engineering of each project. Continuously strategizing with the director level (and above) personnel of other departments in order to create efficiency and improvement for the company.Currently managing a team of 10 employees that are focused in the following areas:• Project Velocity/Lead Time – Optimize the organization of people, processes and tools to continually improve/reduce lead time and total project durations.• Schedule – Responsible for setting the baseline schedule for each project. Responsible for managing the DE team to the schedule. Effective collaboration and management other departments, clients, and resources outside the company. • Project Quality – Responsible for the overall quality and accuracy of each project design with goal of eliminating change orders during the construction process.• Cost Reduction – Work with multiple departments to select products and give feedback on product selection to continue to drive down costs of materials and labor. Responsible for optimizing engineering costs by decreasing Process Time and effectively utilizing outside resources/engineering subcontractors.• Employee Development – Responsible for the development of employees. Works directly with Design Engineers daily to improve the engineer’s ability identify problems and present countermeasures to move projects forward. • Construction Administration – Work directly with Design Engineers and Project managers to provide quick solutions to issues in the field as they arise top prevent schedule delay and increase cost.• Client Relations – Work directly with clients and third party engineers during the engineering due diligence, design and construction phases of each project.

• Manage Senior Design Engineering Team. Includes maintenance of project logs and weeklyproject meetings to ensure timelines are met or exceeded, delays are accounted for andlessons are learned for future projects.• Manage outside Engineering Consultants and Sub-Contractors• Maintain Design Project Schedule for all Borrego Projects• Responsible for all Plan development (57 Projects)• Value Engineering on each project for cost, system efficiency and project velocity• Technical support for the Project development team including site assessment,equipment and or racking selection and pricing, planning and zoning strategies,interconnection strategies• Produce interconnection drawings for medium voltage interconnections complete with multifunction relaying and primary metering• Construction Administration Support for Project Management Team• Function as a Senior Design Engineer to exceed project timelines as required or whenpossible.• Research into new and upcoming PV Markets

• Design detailed commercial and utility scale photovoltaic roof top and ground mountarray layouts, structural details, structural and electrical specifications, bill of material,and single line electrical schematics.• Manage, review and schedule all junior engineers work.• Provide construction administration support to project management and site supervisorsas required.• Coordinate the design of multiple projects simultaneously• Maintain project schedules, develop project timelines, and schedule project reviews.• Work directly with Structural and Electrical Engineers to develop structuralattachments and electrical interconnection details• Evaluate commercial roof tops, structural members and electrical services.• Design racking systems using vendor software programs.• Evaluate new products.• Analyze module racking, module stringing, potential shading and obstruction issues.• Work directly with clients, solar module manufacturers, inverter manufacturers andauthorities having jurisdiction to create efficient solar electric systems that are builtaccording to the state building code and the National Electric Code.• Work with local building departments to submit building permit applications inaccordance with local building codes and zoning ordinances.• Designed 6.4 MW of PV systems that have been installed and are operating to Date.• Create Production Analysis and Shading models using PV Syst Modeling Software.

• Design detailed commercial & residential photovoltaic roof top array layouts, groundmount array layouts, structural details, structural and electrical specifications, bill ofmaterial, and single line electrical schematics.• Work directly with Structural and Electrical Engineers to develop structural attachmentand electrical interconnection details• Evaluate commercial roof tops, structural members and electrical services.• Analyze module racking, module stringing, potential shading and obstruction issues.• Installation of roof mounts, racking systems and solar modules.
