Founded in 2015, The New York Shipping Exchange (NYSHEX) is supporting the transformation of container shipping by solving inefficiencies associated with booking downfalls and shipment rollings. We're a team of shipping, finance, and technology professionals whose mission is to help BCOs, NVOCCs, and carriers overcome the inefficiencies in contracting and eliminate the $23bn economic loss in the shipping industry each year. NYSHEX helps shippers and carriers create contracts with terms, standards, and expectations that are clear and fair. Once the contract is established, NYSHEX technology records the contract terms that are agreed to between the carrier and shipper and then tracks each shipment to ensure the cargo flows in line with the contract terms and agreed rules. NYSHEX then uses financial security to ensure any penalties or liquidated damages are settled accordingly. This is a very efficient and fair mechanism that facilitates mutual accountability and avoids straining shipper and carrier relationships when things don’t go as planned.We believe that if we can remedy the distrust between shippers and carriers that has been created by the lack of accountability in ocean contracts this will create positive change that benefits both shippers and carriers.

Our goal is to create trucking advancements that deliver more savings to our customers and cleaner air. We’re aiming to make our fleet 100% more energy efficient by 2015. This includes keeping 26 billion pounds of carbon dioxide out of the air between now and 2020. Responsibility for all Walmart Private Fleet drivers, transportation offices, truck shops and Regional Operations Centers (ROCs) in the Eastern U.S. supporting Transportation operations for Walmart.com, import, apparel, grocery and general merchandise deliveries to Walmart and Sam’s Club retail operations

Lead a global team of diverse associates who manage an extensive network of third party service providers to help Wal-Mart’s customers around the world save money so they can live better. Responsible for the Global Logistics teams in Bentonville and Shenzhen, China including Regional Logistics teams in India, Turkey, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Additional responsibilities include US port drayage, Jones Act Trade team that services the Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico markets.

As the Sr. Director of Logistics, Bryan is responsible for establishing and procuring all logistics solutions for Wal-Mart’s international freight. This includes cargo bookings at the supplier’s factory in the country of origin through to arrival at the port of discharge at the destination retail country. This position supports direct imports for all Wal-Mart retail markets and all modes of transportation.
