Healthcare technology has been my main focus and passion for many years. Patients and families alike have expressed their gratitude for how the clinical technology has changed their lives. It is this patient feedback that drives me to continuously improve the Telemedicine/Telehealth/Teleacute industry. I have achieved many milestones within the healthcare systems I have worked with over the years.1. Under my leadership, my team and I built the largest clinical simulation lab in the United States, which provides virtual access anywhere in the world. This 52,000 square foot simulation hospital has reduced the cost of on-boarding, training and orientation, improved quality of care, and defines the human aspect and level of proficiency in patient care.2. I have been involved in Telemedicine since 1994; in the industry on both a regional and federal level. In any effective program, Telemedicine starts at the infrastructure level for a healthcare system. I have defined the technology that has made the Telemedicine program at Banner Health successful and has been replicated at other health systems across the country. I have also defined the video communication standards at Banner Health to bring them to the top of the healthcare industry. 3. Innovation is a process of understanding the Telemedicine technology and how to plug it into the clinical workflow. I define the technology to improve efficiency and clinical processes. I have defined the Telemedicine technology standards for vendors to help them develop their product lines. My track record has defined me as a leader in the Telemedicine industry to make programs successful in healthcare and achieve cost savings from via technology. I am very committed to patient care and I believe we can make a difference in healthcare delivery though technology.
