I am a positive enthusiast who likes to achieve results that make a difference. I have 30 years experience and wisdom helping people and organisations to be better prepared for, respond to and recover from incidents that face them. After my early years in the Met Office, the next stage of my career was spent with the Environment Agency, my journey starting in hydrometry, followed by a lengthy period as Flood Resilience Team Leader and then applying my trade in project and programme management, picking up practitioner accreditations in PRINCE2 & MSP and learning Benefits Realisation along the way.I apply a common sense and pragmatic approach focused on achieving outcomes that deliver strategic targets. I like to challenge and ask the simple questions. To me, it's more than ticking boxes, it's about delivering effective results that help people and organisations improve. The last 15 years at RAB have allowed me to work with many organisations both in the UK and overseas preparing emergency plans and procedures, training people, delivering exercises and preparing business continuity plans. But it doesn't stop there, to be sustainably resilient I believe in a cycle of maintaining awareness, embedding, reviewing and improving. If your passion and enthusiasm for disaster and emergency management is as strong as mine, lets get connected.
