I gained an insight in to the world of engineering during my first three years college at the Milwaukee School of Engineering which allowed me to use a part of my brain that hadn't been utilized to its full extent. When I left to go to UW-Platteville to study Soil & Crop Science, I was able to pass all my agricultural classes with straight A's.When I graduated college I started working as a Sales Agronomist where I then took my exam to become a Certified Crop Adviser for the state of Wisconsin. Since then, I have maintained my CCA by keeping up with my required continuing education units every year.I have primarily been involved in organic agriculture since graduating college and have recently been involved in industrial hemp. My firm understanding of agronomy and organic agriculture has allowed me to jump in to the industrial hemp world with very little delay in understanding how to best grow this crop.Since being involved with industrial hemp I have been asked to speak at many different expos and tradeshows to provide vital information on the agronomics of growing hemp in the United States. I have gained a lot of great experience in public speaking through these events and feel more comfortable than ever speaking to large groups of people.I am very analytically minded which has allowed me to be a great problem solver which works well as an agronomist. I also feel that being farming has allowed me to be a better agronomist by simply getting to know what a farmer goes through a farmer's mind when making decisions from planting through harvest.In addition to being analytically minded, some of my other skill sets include, being an effective communicator, public speaking, being self-motivated and having great organizational skills. I feel that I am entrepreneurial minded which allows me to think outside the box at times to find new ways to save or make money.
