I am a recipient of the NSF Scholarship-for-Service (SFS) program.

I am a Research Assistant under the supervision of Dr. Xinwen Fu and Dr. Cliff Zou. I investigate many attack threats to contemporary Internet of Things (IoT) devices, including network security, hardware security, firmware security, software security, and data security. My team and I focus primarily on Microcontroller-based applications including low-cost sensor networks (e.g., air quality monitoring) as well as cryptographic co-processors with hardware-based roots of trust.

I was a Graduate Assistant for the Florida IT Pathways to Success (Flit-Path) research project, which aims to help undergraduate students with strong academic talent and financial need in the disciplines of Computer Science, Information Technology, and Computer Engineering. I taught a variety of introductory, one-week courses to students including C++, Java, Cybersecurity, Laptop assembly, and general coding & development paradigms. In addition, I taught a more advanced, two-week C++ course. Each student was tasked to design a final project that they could then take home with them when they complete the course; part of my job was to ensure the completeness and quality of each of these projects. My students generally fell in the age range 13-17.
