As yard Manager it is my duty to ensure the safety, profitability, and functionality of each employee in the yard. Daily yard walks to ensure all assets, equipment and PPE are up to code, in place and followed as well as a daily tool box meeting for issues in training not covered. Conduct followups on legal and company procedures and undertake disciplinary or legal actions if needed. To monitor each employees productivity, set goals and KPI's for their performance that comply with AIM's plans and vision and then to follow up with them and provide feedback and coaching. Assist in organizing workflow and ensuring supervisors understand the their duties and delegated tasks. Maintain timekeeping and personnel records on site and sit yearly on performance reviews.

As logistics manager I was responsible for the daily schedule of employees, booking of shipments both internal and external, implementing and tracking KPI’s as well as scheduling and negotiation of costs via third party logistics as each program was run under a specific budget. I was also responsible for cross border shipments including all customs paperwork and submittal. Inventory was dispersed over two locations and roughly thirty thousand square feet which included the upkeep of the facilities and ordering all materials needed. Our picking and QA team were set up with quality wrapping standards for all shipments, daily and weekly targets as well as a new procedure for internal cut-off times from our production team for shipments. When short staffed I would also assist my staff in loading and unloading of vehicles as well as wrapping and skidding product.

Here at New 2 You I was responsible for 12 employees in which I hired and trained as well as 1 assistant manager. During this time, I was responsible for assigning employees to key duties, reordering inventory and store supplies, examined and tested product and marketed to customers. As this was a second hand store the daily purchasing of product involved top tier customer service and considerate negotiations with regards to the persons and product involved. Involving staff, I would conduct store inventories and staff meetings once a quarter, led store meetings, as well as annual evaluations on staff as needed.
