Currently, have 15 years in the commercial construction industry and 10 years specifically in the glazing industry. I am part of a third generation of commercial construction family and have an engineering background from Purdue University. This allows me to enjoy the day to day technical aspects of this growing and increasingly complex industry. There is so much more to glass than what you see at the finish line! Typical day at the office consists of daily communication between the field, fabrication/production shop and the office staff, routine maintenance and updating of our in-house shop drawings, CNC and upcut Saw programming through Logikal and Razrgauge software, assisting of submittals, inputting orders through our purchasing system/buyer, order reviewing, project scheduling, field/shop project kickoff meetings, direct communications with our clients, handling of any warranty issues and/or requests, occasional service proposals and estimating projects up to $1million when the time allows me to break away.I'm familiar with multi-span curtain walls, ribbon wall systems, storefront systems, entrances, all aspects of hardware (including EL functions, A/O's, mag-locks, etc...), glass handrails, shower doors, mirrors, bent glass, glass canopy systems utilizing point support, WinDoor sliding doors, Folding Door systems, including SolarInnovations, Nano-Wall and Euro-Wall systems, interior all-glass systems, impact systems, blast mitigation systems, and FEMA systems. Hobbies include; spending time at the park with my family, cycling (whether for 10miles or 50miles), scuba diving, going to the zoo to make our sons day, and occasionally swinging a golf club.
