In the Turks and Caicos, my fellow intern and I monitored illegal visitor activity on Little Water Cay, an island nature reserve. I recorded evidence of illegal tourism, illegal fishing, and other illegal activities Also, I assisted in planning the construction of a national park on the island of Providenciales, and the National Trust Headquarters on the Cheshire Hall Plantation. There at Cheshire Hall Plantation, I explored different methods of restoring the historical buildings on the plantation. Lastly, at a youth leadership camp, I advised young children of how to become a productive member of society by preserving the Turks and Caicos.
