Founder of The Amazing Brain - a free community support group providing tools, resources, online and in-person peer support for survivors of brain injury.

We collaborate with individuals who are neurodiverse to crush their vocational goals and/or opportunities for obtaining or further developing meaningful activity in their lives. We do this by meeting clients (teammates) where they are at and creating time and space for them to share their skills and abilities + tell their story. We are building community. Healthier people = Healthier communities.

I am a producer and host of the podcast Community Is... , a story-telling podcast focused at discovering more about the work of individuals providing valued service in and for the communities to which they belong. I promote both local businesses and the game changing work of community leading difference-makers. It is a podcast about community, for the community!

I am co-lead of the Community Inspiration Project - a community led project that uncovers, documents, and illustrates community assets for community members to benefit from. The map is used as an innovative tool to connect community members and inspire them to improve the local quality of life!A major deliverable was the creation of a map through a collaboration with the University of Victoria’s GIS department. The map is filled with community feedback from in-person and online community engagement services I co-developed . I co-produced for the How I did it: The Leadership Victoria Podcast. I conduct research on the show's guests, and using this research, I collaborate with the podcast team to write the episodes.

Many thanks to the VNFC for brining me on to learn about indigenous medicine plants. I performed gardening duties for indigenous medicine plants and food – this food was given to families and members in need.I co-managed the garden’s social media page for community members of the VNFC, and I Co-led educational workshops for members of the VNFC and community.

I co-led our board member and staff consultation chapter of our association’s strategic planning story. We collaborated with the University of Victoria to develop our strategic priorities for the 2019-2024 time frame. I facilitated a focus groups that produced our SWOT analysis, and I conducted community-based research and presented findings to board, membership, and community at large. I conducted community based research to learn the more of the individuals and families affected by ASD that we serve. With our team, I Influenced School District 61 to accept CARTE as Pro-D workshop presenter, and we delivered workshops on effective use of CARTE’s technological applications when providing support for children with special needs to Educational Assistants of Greater Victoria SD 61. Our team delivered educational-focused programming for youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families.

I Prepared and maintained case documentation when serving clients. I also Educated nonverbal clients to communicate using American Sign Language (ASL) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). While working with clients and executing evidence-based therapy, we also Gathered, collected, and synthesized information into reports for clinical director. We recorded client’s performance and monitored their progression in their individualized plans.

I Delivered in-person and virtual tutoring sessions to clients aged 4 – 20+ in a variety of subjects. We Performed client tracking and results reporting using case management software

I Collaborated with program coordinator with developing project outcomes for the ‘I Know Me Best’ grant application to Variety the Children’s Charity for ($ 9 200); we successfully received this grant. With a registered Occupational Therapist, I Facilitated the “I Know Me Best” project curriculum collaboratively, helping clients learn self regulation techniques and other important life skills (i.e. business development, entrepreneur training, etc.)

The fast-pace work environment paired with the large customer base we served made it easy to sell between $1500- $3000 on any given night. I Delivered educational programming to youth while ensuring their safety and sense of belonging in the community. I am a Committed and experienced advocate for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
