With a wealth of aviation, Human Factors, Error Management and Trauma Risk Management Experience, I have served over 22 years in the Royal Air Force primarily as frontline aircrew. I am passionate about Human Integration within Complex Systems, when they go wrong and more importantly why they go wrong, looking into preventative remedies as opposed to post incident actions which in turn potentially saves lives and money. I readily deliver sessions to all ranks and specializations within the military and am considered a subject matter expert in the field of Human Factors.My passion for Mental Health awareness has lead me to instruct TRiM since July 2009. I am readily sought after by the Stress Management & Resilience Training Team (SMARTT) where I deliver TRiM Practitioner Courses for them throughout the RAF. Employed in a full-time role since Jul 2017, I have provided valuable training and essential support in the aftermath of several tragic incidents where my skill set proved invaluable in support of those affected by traumatic incidents. This has further enhanced my delivery of Stress Management Training, Suicide & Self Harm briefings & TRiM Team Leader training, producing an RAF Suicide/ Self Harm awareness package that is fully endorsed by Samaritans.As a qualified Stress Coach awarded by the British Psychological Society, My passion for these subject matters along with my relaxed, facilitative instructional style have been positively remarked upon by many who I have taught and facilitated since 2006 when I first qualified as a Human Factors Facilitator.
