Led Wartsila’s US Government segment accounting team. Implemented Deltek COSTPOINT ERP and SAP Concur web based expense reporting software. Reduced monthly close process from five days to two days. Departmentalized annual budget process to assign cost center ownership to managers. Profitably hedged foreign currency transactions for OCONUS equipment purchases. Prepared and negotiated forward pricing rate agreement (FPRA) with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). Primary contact for clean Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and external audits. Successfully secured DCAA approved accounting system certification.

Led Tarmac’s Florida operations accounting team that included a cement mill, an aggregate quarry, five concrete block plants and 30+ ready-mix concrete plants. Developed new financial reporting for division. Prepared all capital expenditure requests and post-audits. Performed monthly/annual financial closures. Drove annual budgeting process with business management and division Vice President. Prepared monthly financial flash report and quarterly financial forecasts.
