Hello! My name is Bryan Sandoval and I am currently a Signal Integrity Engineer at Intel within the EPSI KIT team (previously within the BD-SI team). Within the team, I did layout and schematic revisions for a variety of boards and a variety of interfaces. I am very experienced in doing layout checks using the Layout Constraint Tool (LCT) and have had experience using Hyperlynx DRC (Siemens Layout Tool) to make sure there is little to no layout deviations against the Platform Design Guideline (PDG). Alongside of this, I also reviewed the schematics to check component, resistors, stubs and topologies of nets for variety of interfaces (specifically for low speed interfaces such as I3C/SMBus, I2C, Sideband, and SGPIO). Additionally, I am very competent in Enabling and creating Simulation models (whether 2D, 2.5D, or 3D Simulation solvers) for a vast variety of tools (HFSS, Siwave, Ansys Circuit, ADS, Hyperlynx). I thrive in creating 3D models for Full Channel Analysis and for FEXT/NEXT impacts in 3D solvers such as Ansys HFSS. I find pride and passion in creating BKM's (Best Known Method) documents to help guide and teach others how to enable simulations for their need to help quantify risk assessments for PCB Tape out Approvals (whether to use for Full Channel Analysis or for Simulation/Measurement correlations). Lastly, my biggest strengths are that I am adaptive, a team player, and a life long learner. This mindset and characteristics has driven me to face challenges and learn to understand, investigate, and act. I will always lean into getting to know my teammates and coworkers to see how I can fit to help engage with others and learn from them. My life is a big learning experience where I find happiness in helping and Leading others.I am passionate about Applied Electromagnetics, Antenna Design, Signal Integrity, and Electromagnetic Design & Simulation.
