I received my degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology with a concentration in design in May of 2016. Although I have not held an official Mechanical Engineering position, my experience in the industry has given me the tools necessary to successfully add value to your organization. I’ve spent the last ten years working in the medical device industry. I have a strong understanding of the complexities involved in design and manufacturing products in an industrial environment. My experience has also given me a sound metallurgical background including various stainless and tool steels, as well as a familiarity on the importance of design requirements based on heat treatments and material selection. My mechanical engineering experience involved working cooperatively with design engineers to develop solutions to resolve complex problems. Examples of this includes machine fixture design, design for manufacturability, and producing products at optimum cost. My electronics testing and troubleshooting experience in the US Navy has given me a strong familiarity with electronic measurement and testing equipment. I am most definitely a hands on engineer. I’ve been affiliated in the manufacturing process from design to fabrication and assembly. I for one have always had a profound interest in mechanical components and assemblies. I have a strong desire to contribute and be involved in the innovation and advancements associated with the industry. I would thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to discuss my background, work experience, education, and future with you. I am available to meet with you at your convenience in order to discuss my candidacy in more detail. Thank you in advance for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.Sincerely, Bryan Sandstrom
