I'm an architect and firm leader, but first and foremost a father and a husband. This philosophy carries through to my professional relationships and responsibilities; I consider my colleagues to be an extension of my family and have sought to lead by example.I’ve had the great benefit of working with many like-minded people throughout my career and we’ve accomplished a great deal through our collaborative efforts. We’re better when we’re working together than alone. By working together, we're able to provide exceptional design for our clients, maintain a unique and enviable culture, offer ample personal and professional opportunities for our staff, and enjoy long term success that transcends the bottom line. I try to approach every opportunity with humility and lead with the goal of creating an environment that empowers participants to take ownership of the work we tackle and in the creative solutions we design together. As a firm leader and to support the growth of those around me, I endeavor to maintain a broad skill set that’s deployed across multiple project types, marketing and PR efforts, firm management, HR, and more. Some of the accomplishments over my career include, • recognition as the 2001 AIA Denver Young Architect of the Year• design of multiple, award winning projects, • leadership in a celebrated firm that’s been twice recognized by AIA Colorado as the Firm of the year (2005 and 2018)• hiring every employee who has joined the firm for more than 20 years and participating in subsequence annual performance and salary reviews• serving in multiple capacities in the AIA and on design review committees
