I've been serving in the USAF for 8 years. My AFSC is Security Forces. I was stationed at Davis-Monthan, AFB in Arizona for 5 years. Now I'm currently at Joint Base McGuire Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey where I'm a full-time instructor teaching pre-deployment skills to students for their upcoming deployment. It has definitely put me out of my comfort zone of public speaking which I think is a huge skill trait. I've deployed twice, where I went to Niger and Qatar and it was an amazing experience. During my time being in the USAF I've learned many teaching methods and instructional materials based on varying needs, abilities and interests of students. I'm very proficient in crafting lesson plans with clear objectives easily communicated to students as well as being a detail-oriented team player with strong organizational skills. I have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy. During the 2.5 years at Joint Base McGuire-Dix Lakehurst I've taught over 1,000 students. I currently have a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice with a focus in Law Enforcement. I recently completed a certification for CompTIA in A+ and am currently in the process of taking Cybersecurity at CompTIA. My plan is shift to the tech world and hopefully find a job doing Cybersecurity.
