As the co-founder and head of quantitative research at Pearl River Capital, a Schonfeld Group, I have over 20 years of experience in quantitative portfolio management at multi-strat hedge funds. I have successfully run a wide range of strategies in various markets and instruments, such as global quantitative equity L/S, quantamental, alpha capture, capital structure arbitrage, volatility arbitrage, and stat. arb. portfolios. In Quantitative Finance, my mission has been to apply the same scientific and mathematical rigor I learning working on 3 different Nobel prize winning teams as a high energy particle physicist to the dynamic and complex market. I've designed, implemented, and managed complete trading systems, including: alpha signal research, model construction and calibration, detailed backtesting frameworks, portfolio construction and optimization, trading models, risk management, performance attribution, database and data warehouse systems, corporate masters, and computing infrastructures. I have also been the liaison between the quant and IT groups, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
