Director Of Product ManagementThe Hartford Mar 2021 - PresentHartford, Ct, UsI've had the opportunity to lead two different regional divisions (Midwest and Western) with our Small Commercial state product management organization. I oversee a team of individuals managing our three core products across multiple risk states. The team's core responsibility is ensuring profitable growth through P&L ownership of these states. We manage rate level, segmentation, and the long term strategic vision for our states. We work with stakeholders throughout the organization to develop and execute a product roadmap that will innovate on our current capabilities. We lead and influence our sales and underwriting partners to execute an end to end strategic plan to accomplish our organizational goals. In my current role as the Western State Product Director, I lead the product, pricing, sales, and underwriting strategy for our market leading Small Commercial group for my assigned territory. My Western territory of 11 states (CA, WA, OR, AZ, NV, UT, ID, MT, WY, AK, HI), accounting for >$1B under my management. During my time managing the division, it has experienced double digit growth annually. I've managed the state of California through several large rate filings and product structure/conversion filings, in addition to leveraging non-state actions to guide the state through the historical hard property rate cycle. In leading my team, I've had the opportunity to hire, manage, develop, and promote high performing Product Managers and Product Analyst.Outside my core responsibilities, I regularly get tapped for additional assignments. I've had the opportunity of leading our state product organization through the rate level setting process for our newest BOP/Spectrum product. I'm also responsible for the post monitoring report outs to our senior leadership team. -
