Bryan joined SGH in 2006. Mr. Strohman has diverse experience in geotechnical, civil, and structural engineering, including investigating, designing, and/or rehabilitating a variety of structures, which include mechanically-stabilized earth walls, slopes, foundations, piles, excavation support systems, retaining walls, solar farms, artificial turf fields, drainage systems, buried arches, box culverts, pipes, three-sided structures, bridges, and nuclear facilities. He has performed a number of investigations into causes of building/structure settlement and deformations, mechanically stabilized earth wall failures, foundations, water intrusion and below-grade flooding, and damage to underground and adjacent structures. His technical expertise is focused on heavy civil structures and soil behavior. His broad experience has also involved numerous soil-structure interaction (SSI) analyses. He has assisted in the resolution of several construction-related disputes by presentation of expert opinions in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and at trial. Mr. Strohman is licensed as a Professional Engineer in more than thirty states and as a Geotechnical Engineer in California.He is an active participant in the American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) Embankments, Dams, and Slopes (EDS) Committee, Deep Foundations Institute’s Codes and Standards Committee, and the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section Geo-Institute Technical Group. Mr. Strohman is currently the secretary for the EDS Committee.
