It is an honor to play a role in an organization that is universally recognized for improving lives and advancing the common good. I began my career as an Account Executive, and was steadily promoted to roles of increasing responsibility and reward for my consistent ability to deepen relationships and identify new target markets for $100M organization. I consider it a true privilege to create and deliver development and communications plans to leaders of Atlanta's most recognized firms, including Ericsson, Delta, IBM, AT&T, The Coca-Cola Company, SAP America, Cox Enterprises and Macy’s. I have consistently exceeded fundraising goals across our 1,000+ corporate partner network. I have developed an excellent ability to network and negotiate, leading to improved account expansion, client relations, and engagement opportunities. New business increased through creating the IT United sub-brand for strategic marketing targeting technology companies. Tactics included construction of webpage, industry events, partnering with media outlets, and recognition opportunities. Over 6 years, IT United raised $1.2M new dollars. I partnered with Grady Hospital and MedAssets to duplicate the strategy via the Health Connects sub-brand, effectively doubling the number of health industry corporations that participate in United Way giving. I've increased operational management skills, serving on the Leadership Team led by COO and expanded my skill set to include a strong human resources aspect, including a key role in the recruitment, and training of senior-level staff. I also provided steady leadership in the face of 3 major reorganizations, ensuring process improvement, change management, and consolidation of budgeting. This position has also expanded my social media proficiency, as I played a key role in introducing UWGA's benefits to a younger audience, i the under 40 high-worth demographic, as well as develop the next generation of charitable givers among Millennials.

I consider myself very lucky to have been given this opportunity right out of college. Working with then-Mayor Shirley Franklin was an honor, and I enjoyed all the aspects of this fast-paced and multifaceted role. As Special Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff, I chaired city-wide committees spanning 23 departments that included presentations to the Mayor’s Cabinet, and developed highly effective relationships with key constituents both within/outside the Administration. In addition, I partnered with the Customer Relationship Officer to revise key City policies, develop employee recognition programs, and create customer service campaign branding, videos, brochures, and other collateral materials. This commitment to staff was further exemplified by my appointment as an Instructor for new employee orientation, and these activities were integral in attracting and keeping the best possible employees, as they improved morale and built a strong sense of community. I was also honored to develop and deliver presentations and workshops for the Mayor’s well-regarded Next Step Youth Program, aimed at helping high school seniors.
