I have been in the Information Technology field since the days of Hollerith card punch and readers. My expertise is with mainframe systems. The concept and functions of most Data Centers are the same. I feel I have the tools to step into most Data Centers with my experiences and be able to contribute to that office and ultimately the responsibilities that it has to its organization. I have experience with Data Center Site Environment issues involving HVAC, UPS/Generator power as well as physical removing of all servers and devices throughout the Data Center when servers/equipment are to be decommissioned.Positions that I’ve held lately were that of Lead Computer Operator in a Data Center with Mainframe (cics,ims,db2,jcl,opc/tws,etc), Unix(oracle/db2), AS400, NT Windows Servers; Computer Operations Analyst where primary duties included monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting production servers and networks, administering FTP, VPN and Blackberry accounts and access; IT Technician II-NOC Operator where primary duties include 24x7 Global network and IT support, server decommission support, Unix and NT server data base backup assistance (cron tab and scheduling manipulation); and Data Center Duty Manager (IT Shift Supervisor) supervised IT dept weekends, Data Center operations.
