I am a passionate and dedicated instructional designer/education professional. Being an instructional designer allows me to draw upon my educational experience and engage both my creative self and my inquisitive self as I develop materials for clients across many subject areas. I have worked on projects for OPM, Department of Energy, NIH, and other government clients. I have experience in ADDIE, SAM, Agile Development, Bloom's Taxonomy/Kirkpatrick, adult learning theory, and designing and delivering instructor led and web-based training and supporting materials. Over 20 years of broader educational experience including teaching adult ESOL, ESL teacher training, program evaluation, curriculum development, and language test development. Served in leadership roles in local and international professional organizations focusing on strategic planning and providing quality professional development to members. I also have over 17 years of TESOL experience working with English language learners including over 8 years of teaching adult ESL and intensive English courses. I have also provided teacher training, program evaluation, curriculum and online learning development, and training for and working with language assessments such as BEST Plus/BEST Literacy and CASAS. I have worked with many great TESOL teachers and professionals across the US, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia. The TESOL community is one of the most knowledgeable, dedicated, and supportive group I’ve had the privilege to work with and look forward to continuing to work in this field and the wonderful students we serve.
