As Materials Planner for Electronics, I supported production requirements in a fast-paced oilfield equipment-manufacturing firm. These responsibilities included the sourcing and procuring of production materials, scheduling deliveries of equipment and supplies, and coordinating on and offsite services. I engaged suppliers in bid processes, evaluated scopes of work, and price schedules in order to determine best value. I interfaced with Engineering and Scheduling and identified opportunities where turnkey assemblies would eliminate bottlenecks and improve manufacturing capacity. I collaborated with Product Planners and Marketing to ensure availability of adequate stock to support production and repair, division warehouses, truck inventories, and part sales. I also joined forces with accounting to resolve and reduce invoice exceptions and discrepancies.
