In addition to cost saves and market alignment with co-locating businesses, partnered with HR to provide better career paths and amenities for employees to lower future attrition and improve employee recruiting. ■ Developing Real Estate Strategies: -- Toronto Optimization: Developed a strategy for the Greater Toronto Area to accommodate growth and take advantage of expiring headquarters’ leases. The portfolio strategy relocates 1,600 employees to a newer 200K RSF off-core downtown location. The strategic plan will save TD $83MM while providing opportunity to occupy more “green” buildings and mitigate size of HQ campus facility for business continuity management. -- Developing Alternative Solutions: Led the development and obtained executive approval for TD’s first Alternative Workplace program. Developed the business case, workplace design, technology development and change management requirements for an enterprise infrastructure and over 500 people in 3 pilots in HR, Real Estate and Wealth business units. Obtained $8MM in funding from TD’s Better Run Bank program. NPV of 10 year real estate savings projected at $240MM while improving business productivity and employee satisfaction.
