• Preparing legislative proposals for various members of parliament (national and EU level)
• Providing legal and political advice to various members of parliament (national and EU level), cabinet ministers and party officials
• Drafting policy briefings, press briefings and opinion pieces
• Giving presentations to internal and external stakeholders
• Working with national and European policymakers, think tanks, academics, businesses and industry associations

• As a member of Belgium's international trade policy team at the Directorate-General European Affairs of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I had the following responsibilities:
• Coordinating Belgium's position in the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement negotiations with a particular focus on the following issues: trade in goods, trade in services and investment, level playing field issues.
• Coordinating Belgium's position in the implementation of the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland
• Preparing the General Affairs Council (GAC), the European Council (EUCO) and the Foreign Affairs Council (Trade)
• Representing Belgium in the Working Party on the United Kingdom (WPUK) alongside the Belgian Brexit Delegate to the Council of the EU
• Preparing meetings of the Trade Policy Committees (Full Members and Deputies) within the Council of the EU

• As a member of Belgium's Brexit Taskforce at the Directorate-General European Affairs of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I had the following responsibilities:
• Coordinating Belgium's position in the art. 50 TEU negotiations (EU-UK Withdrawal Agreement);
• Coordinating Belgium's preparations in view of a possible hard Brexit (preparedness and contingency planning);
• Preparing both the General Affairs Council (GAC) Article 50 and European Council (EUCO) Article 50;
• Drafting policy briefings and giving presentations to internal and external stakeholders;
• Working with EU Commission and Council of EU officials, MEPs, officials from other member states and industry associations

• As a member of Belgium's EU development policy unit, at the Belgian Permanent Representation to the EU (COREPER II), I had the following responsibilities:
• Drafting reports of meetings of the following preparatory bodies within the Council of the EU: ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific) Working Party and the Working Party on Development Cooperation (CODEV);
• Managing relations and preparing meetings with officials from the European Commission (DG Devco), the European External Action Service (EEAS), officials from other member states, Belgian officials, and NGOs;
• Drafting policy briefings on the following issues: Post-Cotonou framework, European Consensus on Development, 2030 Agenda and African Economic Partnership Agreements.
