My thesis is "Effects of In-Situ Artificial Leaf Warming on Theobroma cacao Carbon Assimilation in Three Distinct Microclimates" in the tropical forest at Biosphere 2. I am performing my work on the central mountain in the tropical forest. Each of the three elevations has a very different microclimate with the major differences being temperature and humidity. I am exploring how these trees that have already acclimated to these conditions respond to further warming.
