Bryan has extensive experience representing life, health and disability insurers, self-funded plans, plan sponsors, plan fiduciaries, broker-dealers, stop-loss insurers, and excess line brokers in a variety of matters, including proceedings in federal and state court. Bryan's extensive experience includes representing a wide variety of insurers in administrative proceedings and various parties in arbitration proceedings, including AAA and FINRA arbitration. Bryan's extensive appellate experience includes appeals to the Second, Third, Fourth and District of Columbia Courts of Appeal. Bryan appeared on brief in the Supreme Court of the United States and has prevailed in a number of appeals to the Court of Appeals of Maryland, Maryland's highest court. Bryan's extensive ERISA experience includes assisting in drafting plan language, including serving as lead plan for a Voluntary Employee Benefit Association for a retiree health insurance reimbursment plan. Bryan also advises plan sponsors, plan fiduciaries, and insurers with respect to potential plan amendments and compliance issues.
