I am an eHealth SME (Subject Matter Expert) and Business Analyst with 34+ years of IT experience, the last 19+ years in the eHealth domain focusing on Pharmacy, Chronic Disease Management (CDM), Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and Pharmacy Management System (PMS) integration and conformance testing.Currently working with a pharmacy vendor as an eHealth SME to integrate their system with the provincial drug repositories (DIS) in Canada. In addition to functioning as the Senior Business Analyst on the Pharmaceutical Information Project (PIP), and technical/business analyst with the CDM project, I have been responsible for the development of the conformance process and documentation for PIP in Saskatchewan.I have been a key person in the pharmacy domain within the province of Saskatchewan and have been involved at the federal level with the Jurisdictional Implementers Group (JIG), Standards Collaborative Working Group (SCWG) 4, and the ePrescribing project as well as the provincial working groups.With a detailed understanding of e-prescribing with HL7 Version 3 messaging, I have developed the initial e-prescribing requirements for Saskatchewan and analysis of integration with EMR and Pharmacy systems to enhance patient safety.I developed the initial Conformance process and documents for SK and have been involved with the updates to the current version 3.
