• Served as Senior Software Engineer and Consultant for the transfer and integration of a GOTS (Government Off-The-Shelf) federated query architecture between two intelligence agencies. • Performed impact analysis of existing systems, identified critical risks, and provided risk mitigation strategies. • Defined the standard development environment and processes (JBuilder, BEA WebLogic, and CVS) to support concurrent development for the entire development team. • Trained development staff on BEA WebLogic, Struts and JBuilder. • Developed a security plug-in that enabled the transferred software architecture to support the destination agency’s existing security infrastructure. • Encapsulated the federated query architecture as a set of finite services accessible as a stateless session bean in WebLogic.

• Designed and implemented a custom federated query framework that enables analysts to invoke target-based federated queries across disparate databases including Oracle 8i-9i, TeraText (SGML-based Text Retrieval System), Lotus/Domino, and existing systems in which results are fused into intelligent HTML reports. • In support of this effort, designed and implemented a robust Java API and XML configuration model which enables other developers to quickly assemble complex data fusion services derived from fifty or more simultaneous queries across structured and unstructured data sources.
