Responsible for the Quality/Regulatory strategy and culture for 300+ Quality professionals across 2 divisions, 10 geographies and 17 facilities/buildings.I am Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs that is privileged to work with incredibly talented individuals, who have dedicated their careers to saving lives every day; even though they will likely never meet the people they save. That encapsulates the two groups of people (patients and colleagues) that shape my role and my mission as a professional.𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 I work in the medical device manufacturing industry and I work with Quality Leaders to develop systems to ensure patient safety and compliance. I shape divisional strategy and provide implementation tactics for the sites as together we drive improvements in product performance and compliance with government regulations (FDA, MDSAP, EUMDR, Anvisa, etc.). I am responsible for establishing and fostering a Quality Culture that drives our decision making towards patient safety and compliance in all of our day to day interactions. In my role, I have had the great fortune to actually meet some of the individuals that were saved by the work we do and the medical devices that we manufacture. To hear their stories about what those medical devices mean to them, their families and their ability to continue living with a high quality of life is deeply impactful. In those days where stress is high, the challenges are difficult and many… I am reminded of those people whom we serve and it keeps me motivated to keep moving forward. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬 I can link the biggest personal developments in my career, to 4 people. Mentors that made specific efforts to coach me, guide me and develop me as a professional and as a person over the past 20 years. Without those people my career, and my life, would be dramatically different. I owe them so much. The best way I know to repay them, is to try to be the type of coach or mentor that someday ends up on another professional’s list.
