I am currently developing skills in systems engineering--translating user, market, business, quality, operations, and regulatory needs, and risk management inputs into system architectures and requirements at various levels. I've conducted process and test measurement validation, software validation, process improvement and configuration management implementation.I am good at translating the needs of internal and external customer into designs and requirements that developers can put into practice. I have developed solutions that are currently fielded in products worth millions of dollars in revenue.I believe in failing early, and often. I value validating a solution with the customer as frequently as possible. I deal well with the uncertainty of the design process. I am also energetic and fun to work with. I am a source of motivation and direction for a team. I like people and enjoy camaraderie with my co-workers.I love mathematics, statistics, physics and software engineering, and get very excited when it is warranted to crack a textbook or technical manual to solve a problem. Novel problems are the most fun and often the most lucrative to solve. I am not afraid to make a deep dive into a problem or do the hard work of developing a solution.I live in the western Chicago suburbs and need to work close to my family and friends. I would entertain a move to Michigan, but the choices are limited.
