- Advise C-level technical leaders on projects built with modern infrastructure technology. Lead technical projects and coordinate with multiple vendors to achieve a common solution. Enjoy configuring the technology just as much as informing people about the benefits of the technology. Nominated as an Amazon Web Services Ambassador by leaders of the Chicago office.- Technical Manager for a $31 million cloud-based Big Data project. Led daily meetings and presentations to plan and execute the strategy for the project. Used Amazon Web Services and Cloudera platform as the primary infrastructure technologies while integrating knowledge of I.T. security principles and Active Directory environment to achieve success. Leveraged cloud technologies to lower costs and backup environment. Used Alert Logic and Sumo Logic for monitoring the environment. Integrated QlikSense, SAS Studio, and Revolution R applications with Cloudera platform.- Technical Release Manager for a project that migrated over a hundred websites to new platform. Verified new code releases from Development and Staging Environments did not affect Production environments when deployed. I coordinated releases with vendors on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. Managed performance monitoring of application and infrastructure with New Relic. Was responsible for DNS migration and redirection from old websites to new websites. Worked with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) vendor in conjunction with releases- Security and Cloud Advisor for an API data service layer project at a Fortune 500 company. Assessed company’s security guidelines and collaborated with Operations team to secure API. Created backend data flows for Data Service team. Recommended best practices for movement to AWS after initial build out. Used OAuth 2.0 technology for security to API.

While the Oprah Winfrey Show was still being taped my first two years at Harpo, my focus was to support the show and lead the Skype integration with only summer hiatuses to complete necessary updates/upgrades. Once the show ended, I was promoted and in turn led projects to upgrade our lagging systems. This included using Office 365, Google Apps, VMWare, Citrix, SCCM. All the while, I still supported show tapings when needed. After a couple years, was promoted again to continue getting Harpo on the forefront of technology. I focused on AWS and Azure to help. I enjoyed leading projects and grew into the Technical Project Manager position for the department.I attached the Skype link below because that was my most visible project since it was on the show. But there have been many more accomplishments made during my time at Harpo.
