Molding Engineer/Quality Manager. Facility startup in powder metal processing of magnets and magnetic plastic compounds with insert molding applications to automotive and industrial sectors. Duties: Review designs of new product tooling, purchasing of tooling, production and liaison to customers direct from manufacturing. Help in acquiring TS-16949 for the facility registrar number 006. Managed 100+ employees. Machines 8-35ton Vertical presses with 180° tables. 6-50 ton to 250 ton powder metal presses. Compounding powdered metal with 12 nylon for injection molding applications. Set-up and trained on Liquid Coated Metal (LCP) for compression molding internal and external customers. Worked with Malaysia, China, Germany and the USA for all product lines to acquiring tooling, design and raw materials. PPAP for Automotive and commercial products. Some min-DOE with some 6 sigma programs under Black & Decker programs. FMEA, APQP and Control plans. Materials: 6/6 nylon; 12 nylon; LCP and Strontium Ferrite Compound.

Manufacturing EngineerDuties: Over technical staff, set-ups, maintenance of facilities, injection molding, auxiliary equipment and tooling. Set up of documentation of processes, maintenance and tooling. Engineering layouts for end of arm tooling on robotics with programming. New equipment start-ups. New tool and material tryouts. Processing of two (2) color lenses. Injection molding machines: Cincinnati Milacron (10) Van Dorn (3) HPM (2) one with 3 injection units. Machine tonnage 500 tons to 1100 tons three color press. Company is a custom molder, molding consumer products for electronics and automotive. Material: ABS, PC, PS, IRPS, PE, Ultemand filled materials.

Start up operations for the Juarez facility- including 6 presses 700 ton ~ 3000 ton presses. Set up of all molding processes and documentation. Troubleshooting from equipment to the plastic parts production. Approve new mold sampling to run in the Juarez facility. Set up the gas assist appropriated funds for the plastics' unit. Training supervisors, technicians and engineering personnel on troubleshooting techniques, processing and set-up of -- robots, molds and plastics' production. Translate technical and process information into Spanish for plastics' department. Equipment used: Cincinnati Milacron Vista’s VEL & CAMAC controls; AEC robots, dryers, mold heaters and central loading system. Material: IR PS; PS; PS w/foaming agent; IR ABS; IR PC & ABS Blend
