I work with business owners and executives (with a particular passion for family businesses) to help them achieve their goals much more quickly than they would otherwise. We start with defining where the client wants to go and develop a plan to get there. I use time-tested techniques to help my clients achieve measureable results. Rather than a "cookie cutter" solution, the process is focused on and custom tailored to the needs of the client.

In September 2010 we transitioned the family business to the third generation as my three siblings and I purchased the business from our father. In July 2016 we changed the company's operating name from PolyCello to Emmerson Packaging.

Pursued an entrepreneurial path with two different companies. The first was in industrial hemp processing, and the second in alternative energy.

• Organic sales increase of 400% from 1994 to 2007.• Overall accountability for managing two flexographic printing and blown film manufacturing facilities with over 300 employees.• Directly responsible for the installation of 4 extrusion lines and 8 presses worth over $50MM.• Improved manufacturing throughput in excess of 130% from 2000 to 2007.• Implemented a resin purchasing project that saved over $2MM annually.• Initiated, developed, and implemented indicators of manufacturing performance and translated these indicators to all levels of staff.• Implemented Total Quality Management to the manufacturing process.• Oversaw the implementation of both an ISO 9000 quality system and an ISO 14000 environmental system.• Functioned as the Management Representative for the ISO 9000 & 14000 systems.• Directly responsible for two building expansions. The first from 75,000 ft2 to 112,000 ft2 which included a $3MM addition to the plant and a $3MM demolition and reconstruction to the main office. The second was a $10MM expansion that took the plant to 200,000 ft2.• Developed justification for the purchase of second manufacturing site.• Directly responsible for initiating operations in new acquisition. Operating and maintenance staff were hired, equipment updated, and computer systems were installed. The facility was producing product for customers within four (4) weeks after taking ownership.• Controlled expense (›$70MM) and capital budgets ($3MM to $20MM).• Developed justifications for major capital expenditures.• Oversaw the installation and integration of an industry specific computer business system.• Hired and directed all staff, authorized and/or performed disciplinary action where required.• Liaised with the Departments of Labour, Human Rights, Environment, Transportation & Public Works, and other government agencies as required.
