• Half of my internship was with the North American Power Pricing Team where I worked under pricing analysts and professionals within the market. Every day I would gather market data for PJM, MISO, and SPP in order to write and publish daily commentary. My work was published in Platts Megawatt Daily for real-time and day-ahead subscribers who participated in those ISO/RTOs. • Responsible for updating data for generation unit power outages across North America and Uploading daily/day-ahead trades into our platforms. • My project was to create business requirements for the data team in order to fully automate a database for Planned/Unplanned Generation Unit Power Outages. This would be extremely useful for our subscribers and provide transparency for our pricing analysts when they create a price. I contacted every ISO/RTO in the North American region to seek information on this project. • On the Pricing and Market Engagement Team I had the opportunity to learn Platts methodology behind each commodity they cover. Examining the steps and process to develop a price was very interesting. • I developed a database for FAQ between traders and the client service team. This database contained conversations from 2012-2022 and involved cross commodities. This project saves time and repetitiveness for our reporters.
