As a Tax Senior Manager at Deloitte Tax LLP I served as the lead tax manager on the Firm’s largest publicly traded hospital provider client. I also served as the lead tax manager on a number of healthcare clients who operate ambulatory surgery centers, provide staffing to hospitals and operate small physician clinics. I regularly consulted with Deloitte professionals across the Firm on specialized healthcare tax issues providing expertise and consulting ideas to markets both inside and outside the Nashville marketplace. I developed specialized knowledge in the areas of Tax Accounting Periods and Methods, Captive Insurance Arrangements, Entity Formation, and Purchase Accounting. I regularly provided representation to clients on Federal and State income tax examinations and developed significant experience in the application of ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes). Finally, I was responsible for leading large teams of individuals to successfully complete engagements.

While at KPMG I served a number of publicly traded and private healthcare companies as well as a large retail client. I also participated in a two year forensic accounting engagement of an SEC registrant which included forensic accounting work, filing tax accounting method changes, preparation of multiple years’ of amended tax returns and served as the lead tax manager on a number of Federal and State income tax examinations.
