Lead and strengthen a team of Electrical Systems Engineers responsible for defining and managing a chain of connected feature-to-function requirements. Managed and developed a highly technical Engineering team responsible for Viewing Systems. This team defined feature behavior and integrated hardware and software solutions for complex camera based video viewing (vehicle and trailer), exterior lighting, wiper-washer, defog-defrost, and architectural systems applying industry safety principals.

Define required integration of Vision and Visibility features. Develop requirements and processes, lead cross-functional peer reviews to mitigate system performance issues and assure global regulatory compliance.

Led a team of Global Lighting (non-direct report) Validation Engineers in the development of supplier ADVP&R and internal GM integration test activity. Technical interface between Validation and Design Release Engineering, worldwide. Published global Lighting requirements and correlated test documentation, including GMW14906 Lamp Development and Validation Test Procedures. Led a team of +30 peer Technical Engineers from various functional areas to drive learning and collaboration across organizational boundaries.

Managed global Validation process, planning tools and test procedures. Developed and implemented the GM1829 VCRI process. Monitor vehicle quality and global lessons learned from a variety of customer and internal sources; implement improvements in methods, requirements, processes and best practices to eliminate reoccurrence of issues. Responsible for Movable Roofs, Lighting, Bumper-Fascia-Grille, Trim, Washer-Wiper, Glass and Accessories.

Trained, developed, mentored and evaluated the technical capability of Subsystem Validation Engineers. Managed project funding for test development and benchmarking activity. Project Lead for Adaptive Forward Lighting System(AFS) on GMT166/168. Design Engineer (DE) GMT168 forward lighting. GM Project Manager/ DE for 2006 Cadillac XLR AFS program - first application of AFS by a domestic automaker; 12 month compressed program. Managed internal & external Engineering, Sales and Manufacturing disciplines to implement system development, balance imperatives, and launch on time. Coordinated math data and tooling related to transfer of business. Developed AFS calibrations and system operational behavior. Published first GM AFS Best Practice.

Technical focus on exterior lighting products. Selected for high profile programs, C6 Corvette and Cadillac XLR, design to launch. Led Product Development Teams on multiple programs including Supplier Integrated Engineers. Assisted other high-risk programs in launch to resolve build and validation issues.
