Responsible for writing operating system extensions, communication subsystems between the Hospital Information System (HIS) running on Tandem NonStop systems and the billing system running on IBM z/OS (SNA and X.25), input and output queues between the Tandem and mainframe systems along with various ancillary systems running on UNIX.HIS Transistion – Responsible for the first implementations of the MEDITECH server platforms. The MEDITECH environment was selected to replace several different hospital systems, including the Tandem-based IDX Lastword system.Systems Management – Responsible for all aspects of systems administration on the Tandem NonStop/Guardian systems.Communications Subsystems Development – Developed all SNA communication systems between the charge collection system on the Tandem Nonstop systems and the billing input queue on the z/OS system. Developed all X.25 communications systems between many ancillary clinical systems and the Tandem Nonstop systems.
