Over the course of my career, I have been a developer, in infrastructure, information security, and leadership as CIO and CISO. As a result, I've cultivated diverse strengths across many facets of IT. In both roles I have a proven record as an agent for change and transformation. I also have been instrumental in building organizations from the ground up and implementing the information security program of an entire IT organization. I've gained a diverse background in delivering health care solutions where I have worked in both the provider and payor space. Health care has been in a state of change for many years. IT has been a major enabler for this change and in many cases the catalyst and driver itself. The ability to bring my passion for innovation to an industry undergoing this level of change makes this field and this industry exciting. What are the best ways to provide information and capabilities directly to patients in order to self-manage the way in which they pursue care? These are the problems and solutions that get me excited about my chosen profession and we have had numerous successes. A few accomplishments I’m proud of include:• Strengthened the security posture by building an information security program and team from the ground up for the organization with 2,000 users at Touchstone Medical Imaging.• Improved performance and reduced costs by transitioning to an internal IT team and implementing a "cloud first" strategy; migrating and transforming several key technologies.• Reduced costs by over $650K/year through renegotiation of numerous legacy contracts that brought on significant cost savings at Touchstone Medical Imaging.• Boosted security with a comprehensive information security strategy by architecting the IS program for 300K users; deploying policy, risk management, and compliance program at HCA.• Advanced modernization at Touchstone by implementing an electronic interface that improved the ordering process and conversion rate 30%.I am focused on putting my passion and skills to good use. Connect with me today if you think we can bring mutual value to each other.
