About Bryan Lang

Bryan envisions, designs, and implements transformative solutions that enhance performance, drive quality outcomes, and challenge the status quo to create better futures for individuals, organizations, and communities. He began creating businesses at age 14 and has built a series of US and multinational companies in healthcare based around consultancy, IT, and AI. He also built and sold an airline. Bryan has worked with over 400 commercial, government, military, and not-for-profit organizations on five continents. His focus areas include medical and psychiatric performance improvement, quality management, artificial intelligence and analytics, education, and aviation. Systems he designed have supported healthcare delivery for over 150 million people. Today, Bryan sets his sights on shaping the future of healthcare with a focus on mental wellness. Early in his career, Bryan designed and led the development of the first integrated processes and systems for hospital-based quality improvement, risk management, utilization and case management, infection control, and credentialing. These systems featured predictive analytics to identify physicians at future risk of major patient liability – “Minority Report” for doctors – to spearhead mitigation efforts to reduce the probability of such events. These systems were implemented in hundreds of hospitals in the USA and internationally. He then led the development of large-scale care and resource management systems serving prominent hospitals in NHS England. The UK systems were in turn expanded for the US hospital and insurer marketplace, which led to investment by Sequoia and Greylock, acquisitions, an IPO as the first population health management company, and its subsequent sale. After a year off to teach a capstone university course, Bryan went on to lead the development and implementation of the first performance management system used by all hospitals in NHS England, worked to improve operations at a national wellness and disease management company, and developed real-time systems to coordinate care for urban underserved communities. He also pioneered processes and educational materials in the harm reduction space. In his consultancy and leadership roles of CEO, CTO, and CMO, Bryan's focus goes beyond achieving sales targets and deliverables. He is driven by lifelong learning, quality improvement, innovation, economics, and long-term solutions. His passion for AI, neuropsychopharmacology, and human potential development shapes his current pursuits to build better communities and sustainable futures.
