    The Master of Science in Biotechnology program offers an innovative curriculum integrating aspects of science, business and law with an emphasis on technology assessment, new product development and commercialization. To date, over 500 students and alumni have entered the program since its launch in 2002 through the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.I manage all administrative operations, including Information Technology, new student recruitment and admissions, and marketing and communications strategy. I manage the program's websites and social media channels. Additionally, I facilitate events and outreach engagement within our active alumni network and regional biotechnology industry. Perhaps most importantly, I work closely with campus faculty and local biotech leaders to ensure the seamless delivery of our program's courses to our diverse student professionals.

    I play alto, tenor & baritone saxophones with a horn-driven instrumental funk band called Rare Element. The band includes members from Clyde Stubblefield's horn section and other talented musicians from some of Madison's finest bands. https://www.rareelementfunk.comI was honored to have played with the legendary drummer Clyde Stubblefield (James Brown's original "Funky Drummer") in Madison, Wisconsin for six years during the mid-2000's and again from 2014 to 2017. Sadly, Clyde Stubblefield passed away in February 2017, but not before helping him receive a posthumously awarded honorary doctorate from the University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Music.I was also a founding member of The Jimmys, playing the tenor and baritone saxes in their four-piece horn section. The Jimmys are an original blues and R&B band from southern Wisconsin named the 2012 Wisconsin Area Music Industry's "Best Swing/Big Band Ensemble" and the 2013 Madison Area Music Award's "Artist of the Year."
