Since March 2020, my work centers around Louisville-Jefferson County Government's use of the Accela Civic Platform. I write and revise scripts in JavaScript, develop and update reports in Crystal Reports, modify Accela configuration, and I coordinate the process of moving changes through the development life cycle.Past work involved coordinating the implementation and maintenance of information systems for the Air Pollution Control District and strategic planning of future information systems. This could include developing, implementing, and maintaining in-house software applications and commercial and other third-party software. As the de facto information systems coordinator in my department, I coordinated the department's part of implementing enterprise applications, development of new applications and migration from legacy applications. In this capacity, I worked primarily as an internal consultant, sometimes alone, sometimes with other programmers. This included development of web-based applications in Visual Basic .NET, ASP.NET and TSQL in Microsoft’s .NET environment with databases on Microsoft SQL Server among other platforms. Years before, I was developing applications using Visual Basic for Applications and Microsoft Access databases. In the past, I have worked in other versions of Basic and with C++, Fortran, Matlab and assorted other languages and software. Also I work with Geographic Information systems (GIS) software, including the Esri ArcGIS platform and ArcGIS Online, to perform geographic analyses and produce maps as needed.My background in physics and mathematics turns out to be useful in many applications that may not be obvious.Specialties: * JavaScript* Project management* Database design * Geographic analysis
