    I developed a friction stir welding model relating critical welding parameters to the weld peak temperature rise and cooling rate which drives resulting properties in essentially all alloys. The experimentally validated model was created based on heat transfer using non-dimensionalization. It is the most accurate model of its kind to date while also being simple to implement.
