Manage the day-to-day operations of the development process for a residential land development company, including due diligence, entitlement, pre-construction, and construction management activities.Specific areas of responsibility- Assist with project feasibility analysis, including zoning code review, cost projections, and pre-marketing- Coordinate with landowners, municipalities, and various stakeholders through the entitlement process- Manage due diligence activities and various teams, including engineers, geotechnical, survey, and other consultants.- Interface with city staff and other regulatory agencies and present projects at governing boards to procure project approvals- Coordinate bid and award process for all land development contracting- Ensure development timelines are met by managing project schedules, communicating with stakeholders, monitoring progress of all projects, visiting sites, and responding to issues that arise.- Coordinate multiple projects concurrently, in varying locations across the Twin Cities, all of which may be in various stages of the development process.- Build strong relationships with all stakeholders including civil engineers, contractors, consultants, land owners, home builders and other members of the development team.

Direct the city’s Planning Division, including supervisory responsibilities, administration of the land use planning program and development review process, and budget management. Promote positive interactions with developers and citizen participants. Serve as staff liaison to the Planning Commission and City Council through preparation and presentation of technical reports and recommendations. Promoted from City Planner position 3/2002.
