Senior Director Of Engineering
CurrentCurrently working on the ticket buyer (Attendee) side of Eventbrite's marketplace leading efforts in Search, Personalization, Discovery and Growth. We’re building products for our attendees helping them find awesome things to do, anytime, anywhere.In the search and personalization space we’re building marketplace search and discovery experiences helping consumers find fun things to do. We’re powered by OpenSearch. In this stack we’re using various ML models, Learn-to-rank (LTR), semantic and hybrid search. Our problem domain has users looking hyper-locally in a set of ephemeral events. I also lead our consumer native app (iOS/Android) platform efforts and a number of feature teams working in mobile web, web and native mobile. Along with general efforts to modernize our app we’ve recently transformed from a pure Swift/Kotlin environment to a mixed React Native hybrid.
