I am a graduate of the University of Guelph having obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng) in Biological Engineering. Over the last two years, I have worked as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician ensuring that product produced at our facilities meet the company's high standards. As a conscientious employee, I strive to learn and understand the relationship between engineering principles and their relationship to food production, processing and packaging and how I can use my knowledge to improve and innovate the food engineering field.I studied a wide variety of topics in my Food Engineering Minor that gave me both the ability to gain knowledge as well as the opportunity to apply my skills in a real production environment. I have been able to use my bio-processing and bio-instrumentation knowledge to design a process to accelerate the aging process of whisky as well as an inline platform for measuring quality changes in orange juice.I am a self-motivating individual with a fresh perspective that when given the opportunity, will rise to the challenge in order to reach my goal of gaining experience in the engineering field.
