Quality Control Laboratory Technician
Current• Perform microbiological, pathogenic and chemical tests on finished product and environmental samples with a high degree of accuracy• Test environmental swatches and powder samples for salmonella and listeria species using VIDAS for powder produced on-site and from other facilities• Work closely with production staff in areas of sanitation, hygiene and GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) to ensure proper environmental monitoring and safety• Produce reports and trends to maintain accurate records and present them in a concise manner• Responsible for revising and maintaining SOP's relevant to the Quality Control Department for continual improvement for all aspects of production• Perform daily audits within butter, whip cream, and milk powder facilities to discover and report any non-conformances to management• Produce media for use in a variety of different microbial and pathogen tests
