For as long as I can remember, family members have joked that one day I would work at NASA, and my passion for the aerospace industry was realized on a fifth-grade trip to the USS Intrepid. Walking amongst the airplanes (my favorite aircraft remains the Grumann Avenger that greets you) and underneath the Space Shuttle Enterprise sparked a desire to pursue the path I am on today.Having recently graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology, I received my master’s in Mechanical Engineering with a Product Design concentration, and graduated summa cum laude. A year earlier, I graduated Valedictorian receiving my bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Aerospace Engineering.Throughout my five years at Stevens, I enjoyed working on many challenging projects, independently and as a team member. One of my favorite projects was working on Stevens’ 2023 submission to the NASA RASC-AL competition. During my time on this project, I honed valuable skills in collaborating as a member of a large, interdisciplinary team, conducting independent research, and calculating payload and fuel requirements for different launch vehicles and flight trajectories.During my time as an undergrad, I worked at Acar LAB as a summer research assistant. During this time, I utilized MATLAB to build simulations modeling granular particle kinematics. I first conducted an extensive literature review, which allowed me to understand recent developments and apply these concepts to my work. Furthermore, at the time, I possessed little MATLAB experience, so my research doubled as a learn-as-you-work MATLAB course. At the end of the summer, I presented my findings before peers and faculty at the annual Pinnacle Scholars Summer Research Expo. My work is being used by current Stevens research assistants to further understanding of particle kinematics.While not directly related to the field of Engineering, I am proud of the time I spent as a Front Store Shift Manager at a local CVS. For nearly three years, I worked to provide healthcare assistance to members of my community, especially during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. My time at CVS taught me many valuable lessons in customer service. I learned the best ways to listen to and ask questions of customers, overcoming any potential difficulties to ensure I could provide the highest quality of assistance.I am seeking full-time employment in the Mechanical Engineering field. My passions lie in the fields of aerospace and product design, and I am eager to place sustainability and safety at the forefront of my work.
