I have been a Paralegal for over 15 years. I am currently a worker’s compensation Paralegal at Morgan& Morgan. I worked for a workers compensation firm in Rockford, Illinois for over 10 years as a legal secretary and client contact coordinator. I was the liaison between the attorney and our clients and the insurance companies as well as performing many other duties, including but not limited to settlement check processing. I have extensive experience in completing legal transcription, managing calendars for multiple attorneys, I possess the ability to key over 85 WPM, preparing legal documents and subsequently filing them in person and electronically, excellent phone and computer skills, and knowledge of legal databases. My tenacity and ability to persevere are my strongest skills. I also have excellent customer service skills. I am in the process of growing my own Paralegal and typing service. I have completed over 200 resumes for individuals in Rockford as well as in other states ranging from individuals recently incarcerated and trying to reintegrate into society to professionals such as attorneys and I am looking to expand my services and work virtually on an independent basis performing paralegal and administrative support services.
