P.I. Elisabet Head, myself and four other intern researchers go on an exploratory quest to determine the quality of the Chicago River and attached waterways on the city's northwest side. Together we gathered samples, tested, and anaylzed water at several points along the Chicago River leading up to the confluence. We asked and answered, what measurable effect. if any, does the regional water treatment facility have on the chemical quality of the water and local macroinvertebrate populations.

Together we created ADA accessible meditative gardens complete with pergolas, benches, perennial gardens, and little libraries for the public use.
