Touchsides is a shopper and retail engagement and data science company.Scope: As one of the early Touchsides employees my goal was to assist with the development and operationalisation of the company’s products and services.• Setup and management of the company’s operational structures• Sourcing and management of local and Chinese manufacturing partners – Touchsides imported custom manufactured POS hardware and NFC cards• Definition of Value Proposition and establishment of Business Models• Sourcing of new Clients and Business Relationship Development• Development of the company’s Big Data infrastructure and insights• Launch and rollout of the solution in India and China• Launch and rollout of the solution in South Africa• Management and training of Installation and Support Partners• Development and management of Customer Performance Metrics

Blue Label One is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Label Telecoms (JSE: BLU).Scope: Initially brought on as an external consultant to assist in setting the strategy and architecture of their mobile applications as well as backend software services and platforms. After six months I was offered the CTO role and joined Blue Label One. My responsibilities were to grow the company’s offerings and revenue from mobile applications, mobile payments, mobile banking and mobile advertising. To explore new business opportunities and sources of revenue through acquisition. Technically my primary role was to create software services and platforms capable of extending the group’s products and services to mobile devices and eco-systems.Achieved the CEO’s Award for Outstanding Achievement and Results, in 2010• Secured Old Mutual as a client for the development and implementation of their Money Account card and mobile banking product.• Assisted in the acquisition and due diligence of TicketPros into the Blue Label group. • Assisted in the acquisition and integration of Mobilitrix into Blue Label One.• Developed and launched several commercially successful mobile vending solutions.• Developed mobile advertising and gaming properties and grew revenue from these.• Management of the mobile technical teams including all software engineers.• Development of Blue Label’s mobile wallet and mobile merchant applications. • Responsible for the development and launch of the uBank mobile banking suite.• Setup of Software as a Service (SaaS) structures designed to render the company’s products and services via mobile devices. • Contributed significantly at board level.

In 1996 Bryan founded Outbound Systems which focused on the fields of business engineering and systems development. During the ensuing 12 years Bryan grew a team of highly motivated engineers and led Outbound Systems to successfully design, develop and commission, inter alia, the following:● Web-based online tourism booking systems – circa 1996 – 1997.● Insurance sector portfolio management systems – circa 1996 – 1999.● Business process engineering within the banking sector – circa 1999.● Customer relationship management and Sales process automation using the K2.Net suite of software. Here Bryan was responsible for the implementation of K2.Net’s first ever commercial client – NetActive. This took place from 2000 to 2001.● Large, multi-territory, multi-market e-commerce systems. This included the full NetFlorist suite of systems, including their e-commerce sites, data management tools, fulfilment and operations systems, call centre and customer management systems, campaign management systems as well as their MIS and reporting systems. This design and development took place between 2000 and 2001, with successful operations continuing on the same platform for over a decade! The NetFlorist solution achieved a number of awards for e-commerce innovation at the time. ● The South African National Product Data Catalogue (PDC), linking together brand owners, manufacturers, suppliers and retailers of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) into a single distributed and integrated reference data solution. This took place from 2003 – 2006.● The South African Food Safety Initiative (FSI) solution – circa 2006 - 2007.● In-Store signage systems for a large retailer – circa 2008.

Bryan joined the team as a development engineer, and rapidly rose up the ranks, working on large scale sonar solutions. Bryan was involved in all aspects including hardware design and development, firmware and software design and development, system commissioning and sea trials.Bryan's particular areas of focus included:● Design and development of the real-time beam-forming application for the Passive Long-Range Sonar systems.● Implementation of Passive Tracking Sonar solutions● Assistance with implementation of Classification Sonar solutions● Assistance with the development of real-time Network Communication solutions
