I am passionate about Music and the Performing Arts. Teaching, performing, writing, recording. I am an experienced gigging ensemble keyboard player and singer and have played in many groups including jazz/blues outfit After Dark. Professional engagements include playing keyboards with British Blues legends NINE BELOW ZERO and playing in X-Factor finalist BEN MILLS' backing band.. I am an experienced dep keyboard player in a number of Kent-based bands. I have depped in many bands in very different genres across Kent including some stints over extended periods of time. I have also helped some of these bands with contributions on keys for studio recordings.I write my own songs and instrumentals and in October 2017 I released a CD called 'Really Brown' which is available to download or buy from me at gigs. A second release EP was released in 2021 - 'Four Bangers From Sandwich'. I was an active player and writing contributor in an originals/writing band called Penthouse until it disbanded in December 2011. I am a confident singer and sing lead and harmony vocals.I recently retired from full-time state school Music teaching. Over my career, I had experience of teaching French, German, Business and Communication Systems including ICT, Life Skills and Drama to various levels and examinations at secondary level. I recently passed external qualifications as a BTEC Internal Verifier for Music.I have been a trained Music subject mentor for trainee teachers of Music in Kent schools. I have worked closely with Canterbury Christ Church University to mentor student teachers through their PGCE qualification. I have been MD for pupil stage productions of Bugsy Malone, Godspell, Grease, We Will Rock You and Hairspray in recent years as well as various pantomimes.As I said at the top, I am passionate about Music and the Performing Arts.
